We are an Alberta-based company that develops and commercializes breakthrough technologies that improve the efficiency, economics and environmental performance of oil and gas facilities. Among the technologies we have patented are new methods of generating LNG and new LNG applications, such as cryostripping, cavern cooling, and CO2 sequestration.
Our patents include processes that produce very low-cost LNG at pressure-letdown stations, gas processing plants and straddle plants. In another series of patents, we promote the use of LNG in novel applications, for example, in the recovery of olefins and other valuable fractions from oil refinery fuel-gas streams. Our technologies feature low capital costs, low operating costs, simple design, and flexibility.
Expansion Power focuses on smart solutions for the oil & gas sector that are good for the bottom line and the environment. Our technologies help to reduce GHG emissions and other environmental impacts associated with energy production. They also utilize existing infrastructure to generate cleaner fuels like LNG. Innovations like these put a cleaner energy future in closer reach.
